Why is this happening?
Specific to repair issues, the short answer is a lack of realistic expectations on all sides.
In most cases, buyers are far less risk-tolerant than they were during the COVID crazies, and some Sellers haven’t shifted their mindset.
Ultimately, it’s the Agent’s responsibility to help their clients understand the current market, know their clients' risk tolerance, protect their money, and set reasonable expectations.
It’s really not that difficult when agents help their clients understand what’s happening in the market. People are smart, and when things are properly explained and shown to them, they get it.
