Maryland born, and raised in Westminster, Heide has traveled the world, but often returned to her home state, becoming a regular visitor to Chestertown once she discovered it 15 years ago. A consummate go-getter, Heide possesses MBA and MIS degrees and initially honed her business acumen with 25 years in the challenging field of IT and IT Management. Heide has now put that knowledge to good use as the backbone of her own Chestertown-based enterprise, Coco’s Pet Center. Heide believes strongly in, and has a great affinity for, her community. You will often find her at community-based events, championing various animal-based causes, and attending meetings of the Downtown Chestertown Association, of which she is a member. Heide now resides with her rescued dog, Ned, in Chestertown part-time, and balances the rest of the time in Columbia, which provides her with a rich perspective and deep understanding of both of Maryland’s shores.
