🐾 Baby Wildlife Season is Here! Please Read Before You Help 🐾
We know it’s hard to see a baby animal alone and not want to step in—but in many cases, the best thing you can do is leave it where it is.
This guide helps you understand when to help and when to walk away, so wildlife has the best chance to thrive in its natural environment 💚
⚠️ Important Reminder:
Queen Anne’s County Animal Control does NOT handle wildlife.
📲 The QR code on this post will direct you to a list of licensed wildlife rehabilitators and experts who are trained to properly assess and care for wild animals.
Intervening when it’s not necessary can actually do more harm than good—many baby animals are not abandoned, and their parents are nearby caring for them.
✨ When in doubt:
✔️ Keep your distance
✔️ Observe from afar
✔️ Contact a wildlife professional
Thank you for helping us protect local wildlife the right way! 🦌🐰
