The groundbreaking ceremony for Hancock Villag in Brookline was held 80 YEARS AGO TODAY with MA Governor Maurice Tobin and Boston Mayor James Curley in attendance. Built to house veterans returning from WWII, Hancock Village’s streets, buildings and activity spaces are named after Signers of the Declaration of Independence.
