What is a Non-QM loan? 🤔

You've probably heard the term thrown around, but here's what it actually means: Non-QM = Non-Qualified Mortgage. It simply means the loan doesn't fit into the standard government-backed boxes like Conventional, FHA, VA, or USDA.

So what falls under the Non-QM umbrella? Think bank statement loans, 1099 loans, and doctor loans, just to name a few.

For example, a bank statement loan skips the traditional income docs altogether. Instead, we look at your last 12-24 months of bank statements to calculate income. Perfect for self-employed borrowers and business owners whose tax returns don't tell the whole story.
