We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Richard (Dick) E. Kahler on August 22, 2026, at the age of 96.

Our roots run deep with Dick's legacy. Long before expanding into Keller Williams Frontier in Wyoming, our company began as Kahler Realtors, which Dick built on integrity, selflessness, and an unyielding commitment to his clients. A former South Dakota Realtor of the Year and long-time community leader, Dick set the gold standard for what it means to serve with heart — often seen greeting event-goers with a warm "Howdy" alongside his beloved wife, Bev, who passed away in June 2024.

We honor Dick's incredible life, his faith, his military service, and his enduring impact on our Real Estate Family.

Dick is survived by his children, Rick, Dave, and Jan, along with many cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation: Monday, Oct. 12 | 4 - 6 PM | Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home (Rapid City, SD)
Memorial Service: Tuesday, Oct. 13 | 11 AM | South Canyon Baptist Church (Rapid City, SD)
Burial Service: Tuesday, Oct. 13 | 3 PM | Black Hills National Cemetery (Sturgis, SD)

Memorials may be made to the Rapid City Christian High School Endowment Fund, Love INC., and Young Life.
