🫣 My biggest financial regret 😞

In 1983 the average home price in Cheyenne was approximately $75,000. The average home inflation rate year after year since 1983 is about 3%. After 2020 we actually saw 20% in some areas.

Since 1983 home mortgage interest rates have fluctuated from 13.8% to 2.6% (estimates).

What this shows is that homes are not getting cheaper. Ever. The best time to buy is now. Not later. Interest rates go up and down. You are not locked into your rate forever. You can refinance if and when rates get better. But what you can’t do is expect that $400,000 house now, will be $400,000 later.
