WARNING…LONG Post! Yeah I know. Im wordy it’s no secret!!

I joke with my good friends, family and colleagues who may have a different political view point. I only do that with people I respect and know will joke back with a rebuttle that will make me think or at least laugh. I rarely share anything on social media about political matters. I was a journalism major and was sure I’d be the next Katie Couric or Diane Sawyer. I’d travel and write about important things or write the next best seller. Who knows it’s never too late right? Lara Logan was a journalist I used to admire and watch religiously. I remember when she was attacked on assignment and thinking how horrendous and I know it happens everywhere but I imagined it happening in a war torn country far from home and help. I saw this clip this morning and it reminding me of the resilience and courage so many have faced with unimaginable adversity. I Joke about fake news and all the BS people say and believe and I’m NO expert on all things ”political”. But I do know that if you aren’t touched or moved by this woman and others like her no matter your political affiliation- I probably DO disagree with you and won’t be making jokes as you can’t see the courageous humanity that surrounds us on both sides of the aisle. I have faced challenges in my life I thought would break me. Lost my Dad and I literally fell off the rails and lost myself and nearly everything I loved. But nothing I’ve faced or probably will face comes close to what many face. So if you hold grudges, feel that life is too hard, think you can’t possibly get through another tough hurdle…you can. You aren’t alone and pretty photos and posts about perfect lives and delicious dinners aren’t always what is behind the curtains of people lives. Everyone IS facing some battle you are unaware of!

Think of what this woman went through and don’t ALWAYS believe everything you hear and see…there’s always more to a story and more to a person than their worst moment! It’s what they do with that moment and how they respond that will be what you need to remember! ❤️

Real Estate is the most fullfilling career I could hope for. I had what some would call a “successful” corporate job prior to becoming a Realtor 16+ years ago. That path taught me so much I use to in my business. I’ll always be grateful for the priceless foundation and smart people I got to learn from. But it doesn’t compare to the love I have for this industry or the clients that trust me w/ such an important part of their lives. The downside is, it can be exhausting, challenging, even lonely at times. You forget to take time to reboot and commit to new goals and dreams for yourself. Today I made a commitment to myself, my business and indirectly my clients. Take advantage of people I respect. Tap into new ways I can grow and bring value to myself and others. When Realtors ask what brokerage to consider, I say meet with people you admire. It’s the people, not the name on the building. Took me many years to learn that. I’m lucky to have friends across many companies I can call for any reason. I’m so blessed to have people at KW1C who take time for me when I want to put new goals on paper and a plan to achieve them. Thank you Joe Zimmerman! PLUS I got spontaneous brainstorm session w/ my friend Ashley Carter. We always miss each other on my rare office visits. I lucked out and got to high jack his lunch hour. Great people I continue to learn from. Happy Valentines Day everyone❤️. I even left with a 🌹rose.
