This little beauty is up for adoption. They say that you must be patient with her as she can be easily overstimulated which means stressed out. If you take your time and let them adjust on their own terms they can be the best! I sat down for 5 minutes and she was in my lap and as loving as could be. Just look at that face...I almost cried!!

Look what we saw on a lovely walk thru the city! At first we thought is was a statue. It is a young Black-Crowned Night Heron.....looks prehistoric. Never have I ever seen one before!! I didn't get too close because I didn't want to scare it.

Yes, it was a baking kind of day. I made these for a friend who is a sugaraholic so yes, I actually made them with real sugar. Does a zero sugar chocolate kiss even exist? This is a recipe from 1980. It may actually be older but mine is from 1980!
