#1 in transaction count at eXp Realty in Illinois in 2025 and only 3 years in.

I didn’t come in with a big book of business or a team already built. A lot of trial and error, a lot of long days, and a big focus on building systems that actually work while doing everything I can to provide the best service possible. Most importantly, I had the right people around me.

One thing I’m seeing in the Chicago market right now 👇

Buyers and sellers are tagging back in. Activity is picking up on both sides.

Well priced properties in sought after Chicago neighborhoods are selling quickly, often with multiple offers. At the same time, overpriced listings are sitting until they correct on price. The gap between right and wrong pricing is very real right now.

Interest rates are still hovering around 6% on a 30 year loan, and that seems to be the current norm. If we see rates dip below 6%, I expect even more buyers and sellers to jump back into the market. Lower rates will absolutely bring more buyers, but they will also bring more sellers. The challenge is that most sellers are also buyers, while not all buyers are sellers. That imbalance doesn’t relieve competition, it often adds to it, especially in desirable Chicago neighborhoods.

As we head into spring, we’ll also see added momentum from leases expiring and the school year coming to an end.

My expectation is that Chicago continues to shift into a more competitive sellers market, while the suburbs remain more balanced and driven by smart marketing and accurate pricing.
