1MILLION TEARS:
I promise you I have cried 1 million tears. I woke up one day in December 2024 and realized I was approaching 50 years old, which of course is half a century! And I said to myself, GIRL, you have accomplished your dream of being a Motivational Speaker years ago—you spoke on the phenomenal life cruise & officially asked to speak by the #1 Motivational Speaker in the world, Dr. Eric Thomas; you created a beautiful nonprofit called Lady Lions Sisterhood(ladylionssisterhood.com) birthed from a prayer group that you originally started with Dr. Eric Thomas and even though your relationship with your ex-husband did not work out it was by far one of the best experiences of my life of learning and growing so much! 💥💥💥💥But! 💥💥💥💥
There was one goal that I still had not achieved! That goal was owning my own apartment building! So December 19, 2024 I took a huge leap of faith just me and God! I told no one! 💥
December 19, 2024 I signed my name and my company name Luke 137 Realty of Illinois LLC to a document purchasing a four unit apartment building. NOT IN VIRGINIA BUT ON THE SOUTHSIDE OF CHICAGO, 4 miles away from the Obama Presidential Center where the BEST PRESIDENT TO EVER LIVE HAS PLANTED A NEW SEED OF HOPE!!
I stepped out on Faith and boy was I scared!!!
It was my birthday gift to myself. Well fast forward— 2025 was one of the worst years for weather. The winter weather was horrendous, city inspections were lengthy and any and everything that the devil tried to throw at me he did. I cried & cried asking God the entire time had I made the worst mistake of my life. So the length of time to rehab a four unit property went far beyond anything I could ever have imagined. Every challenge that could ever exist occurred. I promise you I have cried 1 million tears. All because I believed when you stand on God‘s word HE will deliver! So I took a building that was originally built in 1908 with a lot of rehab work needed, (emphasis on the word “a lot” ) and have worked tirelessly, exhausted financially mentally and emotionally and turned it into a building of Hope, love and support for people to have a new beginning, transform a neighborhood.
I’m seeking the MOST AMAZING TENANTS that will treat it with love & care, where you get to know your neighbors like family, respect each other’s spaces, be mindful that there’s a neighbor above or beneath you, adhere to the no smoking policy, & be so kind when it comes to noise.
