We understand that property owners in Cook County want to know when they will receive their second installment property tax bills.

The Assessor’s Office determines the value of properties and approves homeowners for property tax savings. We do not send out property tax bills, and finished our work for this year’s tax bill cycle in August.

As you may have heard, Cook County’s property tax offices are implementing a major technology upgrade to a new system of record. The Assessor’s Office was the first of the county’s property tax offices on this new system in 2021, and we completed our part of the upgrade earlier this year.
