Free CyberNavigator Tutors!

I know many people who never cross over into the "digital divide". Unfortunately many never learned basic computer skills that are needed today.
Businesses, community organizations, and government agencies require computer skills to access resources.
I know too many folks who never crossed over to learning computer skills and today they are challenged with accessing resources. Whether or not we like it, computer skills are now life skills.

Chicago has an excellent and greatly needed program, CyberNavigator tutors, offered by CPL that is FREE!

CyberNavigator tutors offer patrons one-on-one sessions that are available by appointment.

NO! Economy is lousy, slots too tight, no interest in giving hard earned money to casino fat cats, Vegas is hurting for money so I am unsure of safe staffing conditions in hotels, air fare is too high and no interest in losing money.

Fear Factor
My biggest fear of "cutting the cable cord" was that I would not have the ambiance of entertainment that I enjoyed for over 30 years when cable first arrived in my city.
What would I do?
I did not need an antenna as cable ensured great reception.
Chicago underwent something years ago where analog tv's needed a special antenna... UGH!
My building had a master antenna, that was okay for a brief time as I awaited installation of cable.
So for over 20 years my tv's were cable compatible... no worries.
All of my televisions were good flat screen tv's so no need to get rid of them.
As cable rates soared horribly, I just had to stop that insanity. It was not until last week that I purchased a cheap new tv that was fine for streaming. Hence, now no worries about a major "void" in my life.

After "forever", I finally cut the cable tv cord. Rates were increasing too high and too frequently. Poor business model to increase rates without improving programs. Good riddance. Glad to NOT pay a another cable bill again! I was just watching reruns anyway.

I've been extremely busy for the past week. I've not posted here in a while. This is what has been going on....
**I finally "cut the cable" cord. Cable service provider kept going up on my bill. I had enough of their nonsense. Increase in cost but no enhancement of programs. I was looking at old reruns! Not worth it.
**I am not lazy or a slacker! I am good with my equipment. I had 2 last generation flat screen televisions with the high technology ports. Sigh.... This is why it took me so long to finally cut the cable.
So, last week when I saw another increase in my cable bill, I called immediately and terminated service. I am now saving a whole lot of money!!!!
**I went to Sam's Club and came upon a HUGE deal for a Smart television! It was a bargain that I could not pass up especially as I cut the cable cord!
**I was successful in setting up the Smart tv! Yay!!!!! It was a bit intimidating but I did it!!!
**I also had to "re-learn" how to operate my old faithful Sharp stereo system. Yay me!!!! The sound is awesome!
**After 3 years, I finally opened up my Amazon Fire Stick box. I connected it to a newer model television. Yay me!! Success!
Just a few minutes ago, I dusted off my old Amazon tablet. So, I am now able to stream the local news. Yippee!
**Also, last year, I updated my old landline phone system to a wireless system.
**At the same time, I update my WIFI to a wireless system.
Whew!

Yesterday I had to "unfriend" 2 folks who threw shade at me on my Timeline for being slow to "cut the cable cord". Screw both of those fiends.
