You know I love being your source of everything real estate in Chicago, thats why I’m sharing the latest on what’s happening in the market! We saw 1,737 homes sold in March which is a 34% increase from last month’s reported 1,298 homes sold in February.

The median sale price of homes also increased by 9% in the month of March going from $329,500 in February to $360,000 in March. We are seeing homes selling faster with the median days on market dropping to 13 days compared to last month’s average of 20 days.

With the days on market and the 2.6 months of inventory, which dropped from last month’s 3.8 months of inventory, we are still seeing signs of a strong sellers market.

There were 1,255 homes sold reported for the month of February which is a 33% increase from last months reported 942 homes sold in the month of January. That is also a 4% increase from last February which had a reported 1,211 homes sold.

We are starting to see homes selling faster with the median days on market dropping to 20 days compared to last month’s average of 24 days but based on the 3.8 months of available inventory, we are still seeing a sellers market.

2024: 1,255
2023: 1,211
2022: 1,907

I love being your source of everything real state in Chicago! That’s why I’m sharing the latest on what’s happening in the market!

We are starting to see the market slow down, but based on the days on market and the 3.5 months of inventory, we are still seeing a sellers market.

There were 1,550 homes sold reported for the month of October which is a 14% decrease from last months reported 1,805 homes sold in September.

October Homes Sold:
2023: 1,550
2022: 2,009
2021: 2,446
