Case-Shiller: Again, Chicago leads the nation in home-price growth
Chicago is once again leading the pack in home-price growth—no surprise to those of us who know just how special this city is. According to the latest Case-Shiller report, U.S. home prices climbed 1.5% over the past year and 0.4% in June alone. The real standouts? The Northeast and our very own Midwest, both showing impressive strength. With inflation slowing to 3.5%, we’re seeing real home-price declines ease up, hinting at a slow but steady housing market recovery.
Having spent my whole life in the Chicagoland area (and over 15 years in the real estate industry), I’ve witnessed firsthand how resilient our market can be. Whether you’re considering buying, selling, or investing, understanding these trends is key to making smart moves in real estate. Chicago’s momentum continues—and I love helping my clients make the most of it.
