September Chicago real estate data shows that sale price and days on market are holding fairly steady compared to August, with the biggest shift in total volume of homes sold, down about 11.6% in September compared to August. What does this mean? It shows strength in pricing, positioning, and motivation, but fewer buyers and sellers are getting the deal across the finish line. We often see in the fall season that the average sale price can be lower, along with a hike in days on market, but that hasn't been the case yet.
