It’s finally here! 🤩 I am honored to be featured in Chicago Agent Magazine Who’s Who in Real Estate 2021. Being a broker is not a walk in the park despite what my social media may show, and I would be lying if I said I didn’t doubt myself along the way, so I feel truly blessed with the trust my family/friends/clients (and the mix of all of those) have put in me. You believed in me, in times when I silently might not have believed in myself to make it where I am today. I don’t take that trust for granted. So thank you, I can’t say it enough. It’s a hard life selling perfect homes. This gorgeous Tudor in the New Trier school district has been completely renovated from the ground up. My favorite part of this home though, hands down the backyard: tall trees, expansive cedar deck, full masonry gas fireplace, and dreamy pergola surrounded by a perfectly landscaped yard filled with perennials. 2.5 years ago I helped my client buy this awesome condo when I showed him what a great value add opportunity it was if he put in some work. He took my advice, rented out the second bedroom to a friend to dramatically lower his cost of living, and when he moved out of state this past year he rented it out. Now he’s ready to sell and collect on his gains! It will be a lucky buyer who gets this rehabbed home and these incredible lake views in one of the most amenity-full buildings I know of. So I post a lot of photos and videos of the places I show. I love being able to share that with everyone, however it’s been weighing on me how much I want to use my platform to educate and inform and fill the gap on a subject we never really learn in school (and if you did lucky you). I think real estate should be a mandatory subject, but until then, here I am. Don’t worry, I’m the FUN teacher. Thanks to for this sweet infograph.

TOPIC 1 - How much can you afford?
This answer really varies person to person, but there are a few general rules of thumb. One is not to spend more than 1/3 of your gross monthly income on your housing payment. So take a look at what you’re paying in rent. Is that comfortable? This graph is not an exact science as multiple factors play into the monthly payment, but it’s a great generalization to get your gears turning. Woo hoo!
