Student Spotlight: Akshara!

Akshara is truly an exceptional student and a wonderful example of what it means to be a model student. Her writing is absolutely awesome, and she consistently puts out thoughtful, detailed, and exceptional work. She’s in Project Arrow for advanced reading, where she continues to challenge herself and excel.

Akshara performs extremely well in math, stays focused and on task, and always gives her best effort. Her behavior, work ethic, and positive attitude make her a joy to have in the classroom.

If I could have 25 more students just like Akshara, Like no Joke hahahahahaha I’d take them in a heartbeat! Keep up the amazing work, Akshara!

42 years young and blessed! I still go to lifetime in the mornings 4 days a week. I still text my mom and sister every morning. I still call my dad on my way to work. Today we are celebrating Clark Engel!

Clark is a hard working student who gives his best in every subject. He recently put in a lot of effort to improve his narrative writing, and his hard work really showed. He is also a strong math student who consistently puts in the effort to succeed.

And Beyond the classroom Clark is well-behaved, respectful, and simply a joy to have in class.
And to make things even better, Clark is a Cubs and Bears fan just like me!

Today, I want to take a moment to celebrate Kaliyah Harris! She’s a wonderful student who is reading at an exceptionally high level, and her writing is fantastic. She recently produced one of the best introductions to a personal narrative that I’ve read in a while. Her writing is creative, descriptive, and engaging.

On top of all that, she’s an absolute joy to have in class. The sky is the limit for Kaliyah!

To make this even more special, we both have family from Holly Springs, Mississippi.

Today, I want to take a moment to celebrate Shibani!

Shibani is an absolute superstar in my classroom. She is a high performer in both Math and Reading, is part of PA and Math Acceleration, and brings such a positive energy into our classroom every single day. Her personality, work ethic, and love for learning make her the kind of student every teacher dreams of. A reflection of the perfect student!

What makes this even more special for me is that I also had the privilege of teaching her older brother, Shayan, who is now in 7th grade and recently scored an incredible 1470 on his SAT! 💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿

Watching students grow, challenge themselves, and accomplish amazing things is one of the greatest rewards of being a teacher. And having the opportunity to teach siblings like Shibani and Shayan makes it even more meaningful.

These two are truly a pair of smart rockstars! I can’t wait to hear about their future endeavors as adults!
