Wiggly Field Dog Park at 2645 N Sheffield is in a historic neighborhood. It has a beach. How cool is that?

Montrose Beach Dog Friendly area at 601 W Montrose is off leash. Sandy runs are so fun!

Jackson "Bark". Get it? This place at 6000 S DuSable has agility equipment. It has a human neighborhood feel. Braggin' rights. I am super good at this.

Horner Dog is at 2741 W Montrose is cool and has as park grounds. Wub it. Cool.

Bosley's Backyard Yard at 4011 Ravenswood Ave #108 has this super cool summer/winter place. Chillin.

Mary Bartlelme Park at 115 S Sangamon has gardens. I don't know if it's polite to p*e there, so I didn't.

So, coming clean, I kind of liked Chuck. I just posed for the pic. He's barkin' cool.

A few of us at BCP were talking about the upcoming Open House Chicago on October 17-18. We likened Chicago to a palette of brushstrokes cutting through the city with smaller brushstrokes that other cities try to emulate but can't quite land.

Chicago moves with class, polish, and gleam like hand-blown crystal, yet is resilient with historic architectural support. Smaller brushes paint industrial details of old craftsmanship, and the accidental beauty of weathered facades that look better for having survived.

This original brick façade carries the neighborhood’s bones; the warehouse market past that shaped its identity before the boom. Preserving the façade at 167 N Morgan keeps that authentic industrial character from 1920 in place while allowing the modern residential and commercial value behind it.
