A few unpopular opinions we have as your realtors…
The agent on the other side of the deal isn’t our opponent.
Some of our favorite people in this industry are the agents we’ve negotiated with. We’re working toward the same thing — a happy client — and the best deals we have closed are the ones where everyone played fair.
We don’t buy leads.
Most of the clients we’ve worked with came from someone who knew us or worked with us already. It’s not a slower way to build a business, it’s the best way we know how.
We will tell you when we’re not the right team for you.
We will tell you when the timing isn’t right. We will tell you your price is not what will win or sell the property. We would rather lose a listing than win it by saying what you want to hear — because the agent who tells you only what you want to hear is the one you’ll fire in 60 days when nothing has sold.
We won’t rush you.
Not into a house. Not into selling. Not into a price reduction. Our job is to advise you and then let you make the call. Our job is to advise you, not to pressure you.
Many of our clients become friends (and many of our friends become clients!).
Some people will tell you business and personal shouldn’t mix. But real estate IS personal. You’re trusting us with the biggest financial decision of your life, the place you’ll wake up every day, the address your kids will grow up at. Of course it’s personal. It should be.
The fact that we’re still in touch with people we helped buy their first house ten, even 20 years ago isn’t an accident. It’s the whole point.
