PSA: the pedestrian underpass at Buena and Marine that leads into the Peace Garden is being closed up - presumably to make the structural repairs needed to the tunnel.

UPDATE: Response from Alderman Cappleman’s office: “Thank you for reaching out to our office. The tunnel was closed by CDOT as a safety measure today. We are awaiting the findings of a further assessment of the tunnel to see how long the needed repairs will take. Once we receive notice from the proper department we will make an announcement in our weekly newsletter.”
