Unity is an example of how the structure of a development can create different possibilities for the people who eventually own it.

Through Sunshine Management , we’re bringing five three-unit buildings to North Lawndale. Each residence will offer three bedrooms and two bathrooms, while the building configuration allows an owner to occupy one unit and generate potential revenue from the others.

It is a practical model that brings together residential living and income potential within a single property. With qualified buyers potentially eligible for assistance of up to $100,000, I'm excited to see how purchasers will make these properties work for their individual goals.

Access to the right information can change how someone approaches a real estate decision.

During the Foundations of Wealth homebuyer seminar last August 8, we welcomed aspiring homeowners and investors for candid conversations about financing, financial preparation, buyer assistance, property inspections, legal considerations, and multifamily ownership.

I am grateful to Chase Moore of Chase, Reginald Brock of RBC Home Inspection, Atty. Erika Finley of The Law Office of Erika L. Finley, and our KBM Realty team Keisharealestateharrison and Kenya The Broker, for sharing their expertise and making themselves available to answer questions directly.

For us, the value of this event was seeing people leave better informed than when they arrived. Education creates the foundation for stronger decisions, and I am proud that KBM Realty continues to provide a space where those conversations can happen.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, and we look forward to welcoming you again at the next Foundations of Wealth seminar. For available properties and presale opportunities, you may connect with Kenya The Broker and Keisharealestateharrison or visit https://kbm-realty.com/agents/.

A lot is happening in Bronzeville, and I’m proud that Sunshine Management is contributing to the housing taking shape across the neighborhood.

Heritage Grove will add six three-flat buildings, while Langley Legacy Commons will bring 14 residential buildings to parcels that have long remained vacant. Together, these projects are returning land to productive use and adding new options for people who want to own property in Bronzeville.

For me, this work is also about what ownership can make possible over time. A property can become a home, an income-producing asset, or something of value that can eventually be passed from one generation to the next.

Seeing these projects advance reinforces why developing in Bronzeville matters and why increasing the presence of local ownership remains an important part of our work.

Supporting Black-owned businesses is one of the most direct ways we can contribute to economic participation in the places where we live and work.

Every purchase, contract, referral, and professional relationship has the potential to help a business reach its next milestone. That support can sustain jobs, strengthen operations, create new partnerships, and allow entrepreneurs to continue serving their customers and neighborhoods.

At Sunshine Management, we understand the importance of being intentional about who has access to business opportunities. Across real estate, construction, finance, professional services, and other industries, Black entrepreneurs bring valuable expertise and perspective that deserve recognition and support.

National Black Business Month is an important reminder that celebrating these businesses also means choosing to patronize, recommend, partner with, and create space for them at the table. Let's continue to support and celebrate Black-owned businesses.

Property ownership can give people a meaningful stake in the neighborhoods they care about. That principle continues to influence how I approach our work at Sunshine Management.

Langley Legacy Commons will bring 14 residential buildings to S. Langley Ave. and E. 44th St., transforming vacant parcels into homes designed with architectural quality, sustainability, and everyday functionality in mind.

For me, the significance of this project lies in what those addresses can eventually represent: a place to call home, an asset to build upon, and for some, an important addition to their financial portfolio.

The way a home functions can have a lasting impact on a person's daily life.

Features that make it easier to move through a space, maintain independence, and feel comfortable at home are often the result of intentional decisions made long before construction begins.

At Heritage Grove, ADA-compliant first-floor residences were incorporated from the outset because I believe housing should be designed with a broad range of needs in mind. Creating homes that are practical, welcoming, and adaptable is an important part of delivering housing that serves people well over time.

Details like these may not always be the first thing people notice, but they can make a meaningful difference for homeowners and their families. We're proud at Sunshine Management that Heritage Grove reflects this approach and look forward to seeing these residences become part of Bronzeville.

One of the most rewarding aspects of leading Sunshine Management is seeing multiple projects move forward simultaneously, each serving a distinct purpose while contributing to the broader vision we have for Chicago.

Across Bronzeville, North Lawndale, Garfield Park, and Humboldt Park, our team is advancing developments that reflect careful planning, strong partnerships, and a commitment to delivering quality residential communities.

From Heritage Grove and Langley Legacy Commons to Unity and Robertson Rowe, every project represents years of collaboration, thoughtful design, and dedicated ex*****on. Together, they reflect our continued focus on expanding homeownership across Chicago's South and West Sides.

I am truly grateful to the team, partners, and collaborators whose expertise continues to advance these developments. Explore our work and follow the progress of each project at https://sunshinemanage.com/.

Some of the most important decisions in development begin by listening.

From the early stages of Langley Legacy Commons, local perspectives helped inform how we approached the project and how we wanted it to contribute to Bronzeville. Those conversations reinforced something I strongly believe: the people who know a neighborhood best should have a voice in how it evolves.

As one of Sunshine Management signature projects, Langley Legacy Commons reflects that approach through housing designed to increase ownership, build equity, and put vacant land back into meaningful use.

For us, responsible development starts with understanding the place, respecting the people who have shaped it, and carrying those insights into the decisions that follow.

Bronzeville carries a legacy that deserves to be recognized in every decision we make about what comes next.

Its history of Black entrepreneurship, culture, and leadership has shaped Chicago for generations. For me, contributing to this neighborhood means understanding that new development should respect what already exists while creating room for more people to establish ownership and remain connected to the area.

Heritage Grove, Langley Legacy Commons, and The Renaissance are bringing vacant and underused sites back into productive use. Each project has its own identity and purpose, yet all share an emphasis on well-designed housing, responsible land use, and increasing the presence of resident ownership in Bronzeville.

At Sunshine Management, we believe the measure of our work will ultimately be found in what these properties make possible for the people who call this neighborhood home. That responsibility continues to influence how we plan, design, and execute each project.
