Recently I served as a peer appointed representative to the Baird and Warner Advisory Counsel, where I sat alongside our CEO Steve Baird and aided in discussion on how we can better serve our customers and the community. I am a proud member of the Chicago Association of Realtors, The Illinois Association of Realtors, The National Association of Realtors, and the MRED Multiple Listing Service. When I’m not working, I love spending time with my wife of 16 years and my 3 year-old daughter, as well as playing golf, partaking in the outstanding Chicago restaurant scene, and sampling the latest local craft beers. As we bid farewell to Hackney’s on Lake, a beloved Glenview institution for 70 years, we reflect on the memories created over countless meals.

Known for their iconic Hackneyburgers and French-Fried Onions, this restaurant has been a staple in our community, serving comfort food in a warm, inviting atmosphere.

The decision to close was not made lightly, as the restaurant team expressed their gratitude for the support from the community throughout the decades.

While the Lake Avenue location will close its doors, the focus will shift to their sister restaurant, Hackney’s on Harms, where exciting renovations are underway.

Let’s cherish the memories and celebrate the legacy of Hackney’s on Lake.
