My name is Jayme Dominicak, and I am the Owner and Managing Broker of Starland Real Estate Education and Management, LLC. Starland exists with the goal of providing the highest level of real estate education and property management services. We know from our many years of experience, that by fostering authentic relationships, the residents and owners sense of belonging and care will be enriched. Starland believes that the relationship between owners, residents and their management company should move beyond the transaction of paying rent and maintenance requests. We want to know your name and celebrate you! Deeply rooted residents are our greatest asset as we strive to really get to know the communities in which we live and serve. We know that the whole is greater than the Sum of each part. The City of Chicago has doubled their fines for not providing the appropriate heat to your tenants. Specific temperatures required from 9/15/2021 - 6/1/2022.

8:30am-10:30pm: minimum 68 degrees
10:30pm-8:30am: minimum 66 degrees

FINES INCREASED FROM $500 A DAY TO $1000 per day! The reason for lack of heat does not matter. Your tenant can call 311 to report and they will send someone out to inspect.

Don’t be that landlord. If you have heating issues, now is the time to address them. Consider a heating inspection now. It’s less than $100 and I have an HVAC referral if needed.
