Another Harvard graduate in the family!

Just three years ago, I was on Harvard’s campus witnessing my sister receive her Masters degree.

On Thursday, my cousin/sister, , received her PhD from Harvard University. We could not be more proud!

Her father and my father are smiling down from heaven. ❤️

48 hours in Dallas to celebrate one of my besties, Tonia Kyles bringing in her 50th with absolute Fabulousness🔥🔥🔥It was a Black Dynasty reunion - Grambling State University in the building! It was so fun to celebrate our girl and party like we did 30 years ago. My heart is full and my feet still hurt! That was one hell of a party.

I feel rested, so it was a great Mother’s Day!

Slept in, slow morning, husband made breakfast, lunch with my loves, then we went to see the Michael Jackson movie. That movie was awesome!

I needed this down time.

Happy Mothers Day to my own Queen Mother, my Mother-In-Love, my Aunts, my sisters, and my village of Moms who assist me everyday on this journey of motherhood.

Cheers to us! It’s not easy, but it is our greatest joy and privilege. ❤️

My daughter and I attended the 2026 Links Cotillion. What a magical night!

So many I’ve known since they were little girls, now beautiful young ladies with so many amazing accomplishments.

Congratulations to Debutantes Zoe Alphonse, Gabrielle Primus (Tonya Primus) Jaiden Cooke (Kristin Finney-Cooke), Noelle Joiner (Angelina Lee Joiner), and Marlowe Sutherland (Kia Sutherland)

Last weekend I did something that very few people have done in the history of social media…

I wore the same dress to three different events over two days! 😬

OK.. same dress in the same day to different events is normal.

BUT, to wear it again the next day AND take pictures… almost never! At least not for me.

Then I thought… who cares! I like the dress and I’m in this phase of in between sizes; so

Saturday afternoon - a 40th birthday birthday party

Saturday evening - my daughter was on the court of her friends Quinceañera

Sunday afternoon - Jack & Jill fundraiser with a theme of “Black & Bold”. I mean, the dress matched the theme 🤷🏽‍♀️

It was quite liberating.

Let’s normalize you can wear the same outfit two days in a row!

This time last week, I was in Springfield for the Illinois Realtors Capitol Conference.

Monday night we celebrated my girl, Sarah Ware, as the Illinois Realtor of The Year! She is so deserving.

Tuesday, 800+ of my realtor colleagues heard from Speaker Chris Welch, Governor Pritzker, and former Congressman Kinzinger.

Then we descended on the state Capitol to meet with our elected officials to push legislation to build more housing!

I’m proud of our advocacy efforts. I’m proud to be a Realtor.

Yesterday, I was feeling weird. Not sad. Just off. I didn’t work out. Didn’t feel like it. I had a client appointment in Hyde park. I was leaving about to start my car and a beautiful bird landed right on the passenger side mirror. Stayed for a little while.
