The proposed “Protecting Renters Ordinance” (PRO) could significantly affect housing providers, like you, across Chicago, and we need input from the people who would experience those impacts firsthand.

Serendipity…

I had free tickets to the Obama Presidential Center in May. It was one of those days. I was completely overwhelmed with work and personal obligations and decided not to go. I didn’t want to feel rushed, distracted, and stressed.

But I didn’t realize that it would become virtually impossible to get tickets after it opened.

Yesterday I was in a “virtual” line for over an hour. My slot came up, I clicked on every date, time slot. Nothing! 😩. Sold out until early January. I really wanted to take my Mom before she went back home.

THEN… my girl Bonnie Simpson Mason sent a text yesterday that she had two extra tickets! Look at God.

It’s just stunning. Amazing! So well done, interesting, inspiring, and thoughtfully curated.

It felt good to feel hopeful again.

Mom was so happy. I’m so blessed to share this experience with her.
