I just leased this apartment for a client of mine. They only wanted $1400 for rent because the unit wasn't "updated" and it was located in Auburn-Gresham.

Me: Have you ever seen a duck pull a truck?
Client: No
Me: Well watch me hook that mf up. I'll get you $1,700 or I'll rent it myself.

30 days later, we are leased and making an additional $3,600 a year to their bottom line. Wait until I leased the other 3 units, and increase their bottom line by $14,400 a year.

Moral of the story. If I tell you a duck can pull a truck, hook that mf up 🤷🏽‍♂️😂

“I forgot you ‘do real estate’”

That’s what some family members utter, and I still offer sound advice as they fear the agent they’ve chosen is trying to “get over” or misguide them.

That’s not the case with this cousin, this family, this blood. I was the first call and we got it done with a home that has been gutted and rehabbed from the inside out.

It hits differently when you do it for the hood. I’m happy to say I helped my 30 year homie and his gracious wife find a home for their family.

Dealing with the seller’s side on this one was not a pleasant experience! Our inspector had to come out multiple times because they didn’t fix the things they agreed to fix due to the inspection. I applaud Tish and Terrance on staying steadfast and vigilant throughout the process. They are the real MVPs!

One of my most recent buyer clients was relocating because of work and they told me about the things that were important to them. Days later-and a couple of FaceTime conversations-we found the perfect condo with Lake views that is just minutes away from The Loop. What an amazing feeling to know it was exactly what they needed for their transition to Chicago.

40 where? Shid, Right here!

I've spent the last year of my 30s seeing more of the world and embracing what 40 would bring.

Morroco -> Mexico-> Bahamas-> NO -> Colombia-> DR - Vegas -> Orlando

I embrace my baldness, my bags, the salt in my beard, being a step slower, and dosing off more often than not. I also embrace being wiser, the experience, being debt-free, having three honor roll kids, hugging my loved ones and building wealth.

I'll take the good with the bad, I'll take living over just life, I'll take unconditional over conditional, I'll take Favor and Faith! I'll take ME and everything that comes with it!

Y'all out here screaming "40 where" and I'm eagerly looking forward to every thing it will bring.
