59 years ago today, August 12, 1966, The Beatles played at the Chicago International Amphitheater, beginning the US tour to promote their latest album, Revolver. And, while in Chicago, The Beatles stayed at the Astor Tower Hotel. They had held their famous "Bigger than Jesus" apology press conference at the hotel the day before, a pivotal moment in the trajectory of Beatles music, careers, and the beginning of the end of touring.
