In this month's Member Spotlight, we celebrate the team at The Simple Good, a member at our Workbox Chicago - Fulton Market location!

The Simple Good is a Chicago-based nonprofit bringing mindfulness-based, arts-integrated social-emotional learning to youth across Chicago. Through partnerships with schools and community organizations, they help the city's young people build emotional regulation, self-awareness, resilience, and confidence.

As they celebrate their 15 years as an organization, The Simple Good continues expanding its programs and creating opportunities that support youth mental health, creativity, and stronger communities across Chicago.

Now for the fun part! Here's how we wrapped up our 2026 Workbox Company Gathering.

After a day of insightful workshops, it was time to step away from the office and hit Lake Michigan for an afternoon of food, laughs, and team bonding, all with the Chicago skyline as our backdrop.

As we mentioned in yesterday's post, Workbox wouldn't be what it is without this team, and we think these photos are a pretty good peek into why it's so fun to show up every day!

Last week, we held our Workbox 2026 Company Gathering! The whole day was focused on our people, our brand, and where we're headed next.

The first half of the day was spent getting to know each other on a deeper level, taking part in panels and conversations about Workbox, and discussing new ideas for the future.

Workbox is built by the people behind it, and days like this give us the opportunity to learn, share ideas, and keep moving forward together.

Meet Amanda Thomas, one of our talented Community Managers at Workbox – Victory Park in Dallas, so don't let the Chicago skyline in the photo fool you! 😉

Outside of work, Amanda enjoys traveling and exploring new places, spending time at the beach, and making memories with the people and pets she loves most. Whether she’s enjoying time with friends and family or taking her dog Coco on an adventure, she values experiences that help her recharge and stay connected with those closest to her.

When asked about the most interesting part of her work, Amanda shared, “The most interesting part of my work is the opportunity to connect with so many talented and inspiring people every day. I love building relationships with the amazing members of our community, learning about their businesses and goals, and finding ways to help support their success. Every day is different, and the variety of people, industries, and ideas I encounter keeps the work both engaging and rewarding.”

What excites Amanda most about the Workbox community is the incredible diversity of talented professionals and businesses that call it home. She enjoys creating opportunities for members to connect, collaborate, and grow, and finds it especially rewarding to see meaningful relationships and business opportunities develop within the community. The energy, innovation, and sense of connection at Workbox make it a truly special place to be.

Looking ahead, Amanda is most excited to continue growing in her role and deepening her impact within the Workbox community, helping members thrive, and building an even stronger environment for collaboration and connection.
