This was another special May closing; T reached out to me online to talk about the logistics of moving their family back to Chicago, and it turns out that not only do we share many of the same values and interests, we graduated from the same high school just a couple years apart from each other! We did a whirlwind weekend tour of homes when they came up to visit, and to their surprise, they found The One right away – a well-maintained, sunny turn-of-the-millennium home in Dunning. Our offer won over the competition, and I tagged in to guide them through a complex loan process. I wasn’t able to attend the closing due to a family emergency, but amazing managing broker stepped in to make sure the final walkthrough went off without a hitch. I’m so happy that T will call Chicago home again, and so glad to have such a fantastic team of experts backing me up! Congratulations and welcome back, T ❤️

May was a suuuuuuper busy month here, and I’m excited to finally have time to post about the homes I helped my buyers close on! This was a special deal not only because it was my first sale over $1M but also because I’ve grown to appreciate these buyers so much over the course of working with them! My buyers – a home chef, a techie, and their children and dogs – were looking to relocate to Chicago from the east coast and asked me to be their boots on the ground in their search for a new home. We spent months looking at luxury properties in hyper-competitive Lincoln Park and Bucktown, honing in on what “home” meant for them in terms of both a house itself and a neighborhood. I’ve been a part of the greater Lincoln Square community for years, and when this home popped up on the market one evening I knew it was the perfect fit for them – on a peaceful, tree-lined block minutes from Giddings Plaza and Winnemac Park, with a glorious chef’s kitchen, tons of space for teens and dogs, fun pops of color, and technology thoughtfully incorporated throughout the home. We moved fast, putting in a strong offer that evening and setting up a virtual showing for the next day, and were under contract by that night!
