Making connections for people is what I love! Helping home buyers and sellers find the right fit is what it's all about. Each home is unique; each neighborhood has its own flavor, and everyone I meet has different goals and dreams and is at a different stage in their story. Being of service to them in providing context both with sales data to make informed decisions as well as advice on strategy f

or working through negotiations and navigating the transition to their next home is at the center of what I do. I've been a Realtor since 1995 and I've helped over 400 families to date. The best praise I've ever received from a client was: "Maureen she made us feel completely comfortable with the dynamics of the home buying process. She listened to what we wanted but more importantly was able to pick up on all of our cues and anticipate our needs in a way only a person with her level of experience can." I approach helping people navigate such a significant transition with respect and empathy, and their success drives everything I do! If you're looking for a Realtor who listens, asks questions, and whose main objective is helping you reach your goal, I'd love to work with you, too! When I'm not helping people transition to their next home, I can be found cooking, running, or volunteering in the community or with my son's Boy Scout Troop.

Living your values isn't a moment — it's a practice.

Integrity shows up in preparation, listening, follow-through, and accountability. That's what lasts.

You already know this: the people you trust most are the ones who show up consistently, do what they say, and take responsibility.

Thank you for following along with this series. Here's to making 2026 a really good year — for you, and for the people who count on you.

Christmas 1975. My parents gave my sisters and me weekly ice skating lessons. I was obsessed—Dorothy Hamill had just won gold, and I was inspired and ready to be next.

I wanted the haircut. The shampoo. The dream.

But what I got was so much more valuable than a medal.

My first coach, Donna Dickinson, taught me that making the team wasn't guaranteed—you had to earn it. That was my first real lesson in meritocracy. She taught me that falling wasn't failure; it was part of learning. That building strength meant doing the thing you least wanted to do.

Years later, when I became a teacher and coach myself, I realized: those early morning practices, those falls, those moments of pushing through—they weren't just about skating.

They were about building the person I'd become.

30 years in Chicago real estate. Over 500 families helped. Every lesson I learned on the ice, I've used in business: show up consistently, do the hard work, get back up when you fall, and never stop learning.

I never made the Olympics. But I built a life and career I'm proud of—and it all started with a Christmas gift and a coach who believed in discipline over shortcuts.

Thank you with all my ❤️ Donna! And, of course Mom & Dad!

What childhood experience shaped who you are today? Drop it in the comments—I'd love to hear your story. 👇

You don't need every answer to move forward.

Clarity tends to follow commitment — not the other way around.

Whether you're buying your first home, making a career change, or navigating any big life transition, the path becomes clearer once you commit to taking the first step.

What decision are you waiting to make?

02/03/2026

Speed gets attention. Getting it right builds trust.

The definition of success I learned at 26 is the one I still stand by today: it's not about how fast you move — it's about making decisions you can stand behind.

You don't have to rush. The right choice is worth the wait.

01/20/2026

Alignment isn't about taking sides or rebellion. It's about integrity.

When your choices reflect your values, the right people tend to show up — personally and professionally.

That lesson started at 26 and hasn't changed.

You don't have to compromise who you are to build meaningful relationships. In fact, the opposite is true.

What values guide your decisions?

01/13/2026

26 was a good year for me — not because I had it all figured out, but because I was learning things that still guide me today.

Since this is 2026, I wanted to share a few of those lessons. Whether you're 26 or 56, my hope is that this can be a really good year for you too.

This is the first in a series where I share perspective (not advice) on alignment, listening, success, commitment, and integrity.

🏡 Real talk: The "spring market" is a myth.

I pulled 30 years of MLS data for Lincoln Park, Lakeview, Bucktown, and Wicker Park.

Here's what I found:
✅ Homes sell just as fast in fall and winter
✅ Spring actually has MORE competition
✅ Prices don't magically spike in spring

The best time to buy or sell? When YOU'RE ready.

December market update for my Chicago friends! 🏡

Here's what I'm seeing right now:
✨ Prices are holding steady — up 1.2% from last year
✨ Homes are selling in about 52 days
✨ Buyers are paying 97.6% of asking price
✨ Inventory is tight — down 12% from last year

What does this mean?

If you're thinking about buying, now is actually a great time to start looking. The buyers who are out in December are serious — and so are the sellers. Plus, I have access to off-market properties that most people never see.

If you're thinking about selling, fewer listings means less competition for your home. The spring rush isn't always the best strategy.
Whether you're in Lincoln Park, Bucktown, Lakeview, or anywhere on the North Side — I'm happy to chat about what these numbers mean for you.
Drop a comment or send me a message. I'm here when you're ready! ☕

Here's something most buyers don't realize until they start looking:

$700,000 in Lincoln Park looks VERY different from $700,000 in Lakeview or Bucktown.

Same budget. Totally different lifestyle.

That's why I always tell my clients — before you fall in love with a listing online, fall in love with the neighborhood first. Walk it. Grab coffee there. See how it feels on a Tuesday morning AND a Saturday night.

Because you're not just buying square footage. You're buying a life.

Curious what your budget gets you in your favorite Chicago neighborhood? DM me "REPORT" and I'll put together a custom market snapshot just for you. No strings attached.
