As an SBA lender for many years, I’m happy our government will remain open … Check out this piece of trivia:  The longest government shutdown in American history lasted 34 days and occurred during the administration of President Donald Trump. The shutdown lasted from December 21, 2018 to January 25, 2019, and forced hundreds of thousands of federal employees to either be furloughed or work for weeks without pay.
Trump's demands for funding a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border were vehemently opposed by Democratic lawmakers, leading to the government shutdown. In the end, President Trump agreed to reopen the government without getting the money he wanted for the wall.
