Wondering if you should wait until the holidays are over to sell? Here’s the pro/con list you didn’t know you needed to help you decide:⁣

Pros of selling during the holidays⁣

Less competition⁣
Serious buyers⁣
People relocating⁣
Quicker process⁣
Home is SO warm and cozy⁣

Cons of selling during the holidays⁣

Closing before end of year can be a challenge⁣
Holiday travels or guests complicate showings⁣
Harder to keep home show-ready (especially with kids out of school!)⁣
Staging and holiday decor don’t mix well⁣
Days on market ticks upward⁣

Sure, there are pros and cons, but selling during the holidays shouldn't scare anyone. In fact, if you play your cards right, it might even be the best time to get your home sold. Wanna discuss it more? DM me and I'll be in touch.⁣

Fall in love with your home all over again as you get it looking its best this October. Need a little inspiration and direction? Here are a few of the biggest home decor trends blowin’ in the breeze:⁣

Those coolish-gray tones from the past decade or so are slowly inching back in the opposite direction. Browns, beiges, greens — and everything in between — are taking over interior palettes this fall.⁣
If you’re swapping out cabinet or door hardware, give brass or brushed gold a hard look. Brass or gold instantly warms a space and gives it a timeless, clean feel.⁣
When shopping for accent pieces like baskets, planters, trays, and frames look for warm wood textures such as bamboo, rattan, or rustic finishes.⁣
Comfort is (still) king so don’t shy away from pieces you can’t wait to sink into at the end of the day. High-performance, washable fabrics keep things practical, too.⁣
Thinking about Halloween? Go for neutral pumpkins this year - a perfectly timed complement to those warmer hues.⁣

The holidays are just a few weeks (gasp!) away, so if you’re planning a decor revamp before the holiday hustle, now is the time!

“Just one small positive thought in the morning can change your whole day.” — Dalai Lama⁣

It’s Monday, folks! And that means it’s time to kick it into high gear after a low-key weekend. Before diving headfirst into the week, I like to get my mind, heart, and to-do list ready for the week ahead. Here are a few things that help:⁣

1. Making a to-do list of the things I need and want to accomplish for the week.
2. Journaling about my goals, hopes and concerns for the week.
3. Listening to motivational music.
4. Doing deep breathing exercises to help stay relaxed and focused.⁣

Here’s to another great week of living, loving, and going after the mission!⁣

You made an offer, negotiated a sweet deal, and now you’re under contract. Yessss! Next up? The home inspection:⁣

Schedule an inspection as soon as you go under contract. You will have a due diligence period (typically 7-14 days) to get the inspection done and make decisions about repairs.⁣
You and your agent should be present during the inspection (the seller and seller’s agent may be there, too), but stand back and let the inspector do his work. He will go over his findings with you afterward and send you his official report several days later.⁣
Work with your agent to determine the repairs you’d like your seller to make. Repairs addressing safety issues are of first importance. All others should be carefully assessed - you don't want to nickel and dime your seller.⁣
If the list of repairs is too costly, you need to ask yourself if you’re willing to take them on after closing. If not, it may be right to walk away.⁣

The inspection portion of the home buying journey can be a nail-biter. The anecdote? Partner with an agent you trust who you know has your best interest in mind. Looking for an agent like that? DM me today. I’d love to connect.⁣

Big move looming on the calendar? Use these tips to keep it easy-peasy. ⁣

Start early. Even if your move is weeks away, pack up the nooks and crannies you don’t “live in” day-to-day.⁣
Toss and donate. Don't waste time, energy (and moving boxes!) on clothes and other items you never use or no longer need. Throw out the junk and donate or rehome gently used items.⁣
Buy moving supplies. There’s nothing more frustrating than trying to pack without the right supplies. Spread the word to friends and family that you need boxes, and purchase lots of heavy-duty packing tape, a dispenser to go with, and plenty of bubble wrap.⁣
Hire the right people. Ask co-workers or neighbors for moving company referrals. Planning a DIY move? Invite your able-bodied friends over to help with furniture and bulky items. Thank them afterward with a spread from your fave local takeout spot.⁣

Moving doesn’t have to be overwhelming so long as you take it one step at a time. If you’d like a detailed step-by-step Moving Checklist for yourself or a friend, DM me your email, and I'll send it over.⁣
