A Home Equity Line of Credit may be one option worth discussing with a qualified lender.
But don’t just ask, “How much can I borrow?” Ask:
• Is the interest rate variable?
• What are the fees and repayment terms?
• What happens if the payment increases?
• Do I have a plan to avoid rebuilding the credit-card balances?
A lower payment does not automatically mean a better decision. Remember: a HELOC uses your home as collateral.
I’m sharing this guidance based on my experience helping people understand their options and solve financial problems. Every situation is different, so speak with a qualified financial or lending professional before moving forward.
