After many months of meeting virtually, Female Strong put on its first in-person fundraiser of the year hosted by their Young Professional’s Board to get friends together and raise money for the expansion of the program.

“We have gone from serving 20 girls in 2019, to 150 through the pandemic, and now we are on track to serve 300 this year!” said Co-Founder Emily Smith. “It is a privilege to be able to do the work and I am humbled that our mission is resonating with so many.”

While it may have been the first, it certainly won’t be the last. “Female Strong is made possible by the generous support of the individuals here in our community,” said Charitable Giving Associate and young professionals board member, Maxine Rosen. “We had such an incredible time at this year’s summer FUNdraiser, and are already planning our next one for the fall.”
