While earning his degree in finance from the University of Illinois at Chicago, he lived in University Village and Pilsen. At UIC he was a member of the Ultimate Frisbee team and AEPi fraternity. He spent Summer of 2016 working for a real estate company in Tel Aviv, where he was in charge of their local and international social media marketing. Brett has resided in Logan square since 2019. Inventory in this area is limited, and there aren't many properties that check all the boxes for downsizing buyers. So when this one hit the market, we knew it was worth pursuing. As expected, it quickly became a multiple-offer situation.

What made this transaction especially challenging was that my buyer needed a home sale contingency as part of the offer. In today's competitive market, that can make it difficult to stand out against other buyers.

Success in situations like this comes down to more than just price. Building strong relationships with the listing agent, assembling a great team of professionals—including the attorney, lender, and inspector—and presenting a clean, well-structured offer can make all the difference. Clear communication, attention to detail, and favorable contract terms helped position my buyer as the strongest overall choice.

This sale is a great example of how pricing and marketing strategy can make all the difference.

My sellers were the original owners of this beautiful home, built in 2007. We initially listed the property at $700,000 and went under contract within a couple of weeks. Unfortunately, the first buyer backed out before even completing an inspection.

After reassessing the market, my sellers and I adjusted our pricing and marketing strategy before relaunching the listing. We returned to the market at $650,000, generated significant interest, received multiple offers, and ultimately accepted an offer for $715,000!

This transaction is a reminder that strategic pricing can create competition, drive demand, and deliver outstanding results.

A long weekend for the books celebrating final stretch as an unmarried man.

From surprise entertainment and pontoon boat days to sandbars, bonfires, hot tubs, axe throwing, and incredible home-cooked meals, Norton Shores delivered everything we could have asked for and more.

Most importantly, it was a chance to celebrate a great friend and reconnect with old friends along the way. Grateful to have been part of such a memorable weekend and excited for everything ahead for Elliot.

Huge thank you to everyone who came out for our Alpha Epsilon Pi gathering and private tour of Revolution Brewery 🍻 It was great reconnecting with brothers, meeting new faces, and continuing to build momentum here in Chicago.

Shoutout to Sam Strum, Jordan Pollack, Benjy Wax, and myself for helping organize the event — and a big thank you to Revolution Brewery for hosting us and giving us an awesome behind-the-scenes experience.

Our goal is to rebuild and strengthen the Chicago AEPi alumni group to better support the international organization, expand our network, foster friendships, and create meaningful opportunities for brothers locally. Events like this are a big part of keeping that momentum going.
