Have a spare glass vase lying around? This cool technique allows you to upcycle your otherwise bland, old glass vessels into something more aesthetic and contemporary.

First, mix a teaspoon of baking powder with a cup of acrylic, water-based paint. Once thoroughly mixed, paint the vase's exterior and interior with sweeping strokes. It typically takes up to two coats for best results. Once it is dry, you now have a faux stone-textured vase that will look great in any room!
