I’ve been helping these clients for years now — and one of them I’ve actually known since high school. Being trusted through multiple chapters of someone’s life is something I never take for granted.
This time around, they were making a big transition: from Chicago city living to the western suburbs. We spent a lot of time talking through the bigger picture — renting vs. buying, timing, finances, lifestyle, and long-term goals. Ultimately, we decided that renting first in their dream suburb would give them the opportunity to settle in, learn the area, and continue saving before purchasing next year.
The second this condo hit the market, we knew it was the one. Steps from the train and downtown Evanston, it’s the perfect blend of city accessibility and suburban living. What makes this story even better? The property had over 50 showings scheduled and two open houses planned for the weekend. Despite the competition, I was able to secure the condo for them before the weekend — and not even over list price.
