People always ask me…

“Hugo, how do you handle the stress in real estate?” 🤔🏡

Simple…

I’m crying on the inside 😭
But laughing on the outside 😂

One minute you’re negotiating a deal worth hundreds of thousands of dollars 💰

The next minute a buyer calls and says:
“I found another house.” 🤦🏻‍♂️

Then the seller says:
“I changed my mind.” 😳

Then the attorney sends an email. 📧

Then the lender calls. 📱

Then the inspector finds something. 🔍

Then the appraiser joins the party. 🎉🤣

Real estate is basically organized chaos with a lockbox attached to it 😂🏡

My daily routine:

☕ Coffee
📞 Calls
📧 Emails
🏃 Running around Chicago
😭 Internal panic
😎 External confidence

And somehow we keep it all together.

Last night was a great reminder that real estate is about more than transactions… it’s about people ❤️🏡

Celebrating the 10-year anniversary of Pedro and Lori’s brokerage 🎉🥂

Pedro has been in the real estate business for over 25 years, and seeing what he and Lori have built over the last decade is truly impressive 👏

Even though we’re at different brokerages, we’ve always stayed connected, supported each other, shared ideas, and helped each other grow. That’s what this business should be about 🙌

I also got to reconnect with other real estate professionals and past agents I’ve done deals with over the years. We spent time talking, laughing, and reminiscing about some of the crazy transactions we’ve been through—both past and present 😂🏡

It’s always interesting meeting people who have heard your name for years and finally get the chance to meet you in person. Honestly, it almost felt like being a celebrity 😂😂😂

Big shoutout to Abby Torres, one of my top lenders, who introduced me to Pedro and Lori many years ago… and the rest is history 😎

Pedro and Lori are genuinely great people. Their agents are lucky to have them as managing brokers because they truly care about their people ❤️

And then there’s Pablo, Pedro and Lori’s son 😎

When I first met him, he was a young rookie agent trying to figure things out. We talked about lead generation, prospecting, and building relationships. I gave him a few tips and some advice.

Last night he came up to me and said:

“Because of your advice, I picked up a lead and got the deal!” 🎉🔥

Man… that felt good.

Nothing beats seeing young agents succeed and knowing you played a small role in helping them get started 💪

Now Pedro knows I might have to recruit Pablo to Coldwell Banker one day 🤣🤣🤣

Just kidding Pedro… maybe 😏😂
