Reflecting on the California Association of Realtors Winter Business Meetings last month in Monterey. I am very proud to be a part of an association that does so much good for our communities. We promote property rights, we promote new policy to help ease the burdens on our clients, and lobby against bad policy that burdens the industry.
This year I sat as an alternate on the Issues Mobilization PAC, and we reviewed many submissions for CAR support. Most of which stemming from the continued efforts of the Bay Area Air Quality Management District in banning natural gas powered appliances. This of course is not only a huge burden for homeowners, and would raise the average home price, but would also be onerous if not cost prohibitive to small businesses. Imagine the electrical draw to the grid if every Restaurant, and every Laundromat had to convert to all electric.
The continued work of C.A.R. in supporting buyers, sellers, landlords and tenants, and improving the Real Estate professional is an honor to be a part of.
