🙋‍♀️Q: What happens if I buy a house and don’t like my neighbors?!

A: This can happen, and while you can’t choose your neighbors, you can do a little homework before you commit.

I always recommend visiting the area at different times of day, walking the block, chatting with locals, and paying attention to noise, parking, and general neighborhood energy. You can also find local neighborhood-specific groups and discussion forums to see what types of things are being discussed, etc. Spend a little time digging and be a fly on the wall.

I help my clients think big picture—looking at things like property layout, fencing, and long-term comfort in the space, not just the house itself.

And if things aren’t perfect? You’ve still got options. From privacy upgrades to neighborhood connections, there are ways to settle in and make it work.
