This is such an exciting season of life with so many changes happening, and I’m truly honored that I was able to be a small part of this chapter. While I’m going to miss helping you search for rentals, I’m so happy that you now have a house to turn into a home and a place that’s completely yours. SOCCER CAMP
Saturday, July 11

We are very excited to invite you to our 2026 Co-Ed Youth Soccer Camp. We are partnering with the 2025 3A STATE CHAMPION Wallace Rose Hill Men’s Soccer team to help build skills and the love of this fantastic sport in our community. Coach Aaron Murray and his players are eager to share their knowledge with your rising stars to continue building on their team’s success for the future.

This camp is open to elementary and middle school girls and boys. The 9 am to noon morning session is for rising kindergarteners through fifth graders, and the 1 to 4 pm afternoon session is for grades 6 through 8.

Lunch is included in the cost for all campers and will be served at noon.

There are several ways to register:

1. Go to wprd.recdesk.com.

2. Come to our office in the Clement Street Park Community Center at 209 E. Clement Street in Wallace. We are open Monday through Friday, 8 am to noon & 1 pm to 5 pm.

3. Register on site the day of the camp.

You can pay online with a credit or debit card or pay cash in our office or at camp.

YOU MUST REGISTER BY JUNE 26th TO RECEIVE A CAMP T-SHIRT. You will still be able to sign up on the day of the camp, but you may not receive a camp t-shirt.

🔥 Wheat Field Fires & Agricultural Burns – What to Know 🌾

Over the coming weeks, you may notice large columns of smoke rising across Duplin County. Don't be alarmed — this is a common sight during this time of year as farmers begin controlled burns in harvested wheat fields. These agricultural burns help remove leftover crop residue, manage pests, and prepare the land for the next planting season.

These fires are intentionally set and carefully managed to reduce wildfire risk and support local agriculture. However, they can produce a lot of visible smoke — sometimes enough to cause concern.

📞 If you ever believe a fire appears to be out of control or spreading beyond its intended area, don’t hesitate — call 911 immediately. It’s always better to be safe than sorry.

No, it was not in the plans, but we have moved to a location that was known in the area for their seafood, and suddenly doing away with it, caused some broken hearts and forced locals to drive great distances for their seafood. We are now taking orders for seafood. Yes, we will also have oysters & mussels in the fall.
