Because the reality is, waiting has a cost too.

Home prices havenā€™t stopped moving. Rent hasnā€™t stopped increasing. And life definitely hasnā€™t stopped happening while buyers wait for the ā€œperfectā€ rate.

Iā€™m not saying everyone should run out and buy a house right now. Buying has to make sense for your finances, your monthly payment, and your life. But if the only thing keeping you on the sidelines is waiting for lower rates to come back, it may be time to build a plan around the market we actually have instead of waiting for one that may never return.

Here's the thing about overthinking: most of us are already experts at it. We can build entire worst-case scenarios in our heads, complete with details, dialogue, and a dramatic ending. We rehearse the rejection. We expect the failure. We call it "being realistic."

Maybe we do it because we think if we don't get our hopes up, it won't hurt as much if things don't go as planned. But all that really does is rob us of the chance to feel excited about what could go right.

What if you spent just as much time imagining the best-case scenario?
