🏡 Real Estate Term of the Day: Seller Concession
You may hear the words “seller concession” during a home purchase—but what does that actually mean?

Simply put, a seller concession is when the seller agrees to contribute toward certain costs for the buyer as part of the negotiated purchase agreement. 💰

Depending on the transaction and the buyer’s loan program, concessions may help with eligible expenses such as closing costs or certain prepaid items.

The important things to remember:
🤝 Seller concessions are negotiated, not guaranteed.
💵 They can help reduce a buyer’s upfront expenses.
📋 Different loan programs have different rules and limits.
🏠 For sellers, offering a concession can sometimes be part of the strategy for making a property or deal more attractive.

🏡 Something is changing in the RVA housing market…

Buyers finally have more homes to choose from.

Richmond-area active listings jumped nearly 21% compared with last August, giving buyers more options than they had a year ago.

But here's the interesting part: more inventory doesn't mean good homes are sitting around waiting.

Well-priced, well-presented homes are still attracting buyers—which means:
