🚨The home services business model is changing. 🔄 More private equity firms and larger companies are buying smaller and locally owned HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and roofing companies, often keeping the same name and branding. 👀

💰 In some cases, the focus has shifted more toward sales and profits instead of customer service.

That doesn’t mean you can’t or shouldn’t hire a larger company or one owned by private equity. But now more than ever, it’s important to be a savvy and informed consumer.

⚠️ In my business, I hear from clients and people in my network who have been pressured to replace something that could have been repaired, or quoted significantly more than they should have paid for a repair or replacement.

This project started with a client who was looking to downsize. 🏡 We looked at a bunch of condos and found one in exactly the area she wanted, but it needed a full renovation. I promised her if she bought it, I would help manage the renovation so she could create her dream home.

One thing I always like to do is go above and beyond for my clients, even if it’s not something a real estate agent would typically do. 🤍

A little update on the condo renovation I have been managing for my buyer client!! 🏠🔨

We stopped by yesterday to finalize the closet layout and a few other details. The custom cabinetry and built-ins are almost finished being installed as well as our other selections are looking great. 📐

I can’t wait to see everything come together! ✨
