SHELTERHOUSE EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT

Kerry has been a valued member of the Shelterhouse team for nearly four years. She began her career with us as a Resident Aide at the Esther Marie Hatton Center for Women, where she quickly demonstrated a passion for serving others and supporting individuals on their path to stability and success.
Through her hard work and commitment, Kerry was promoted last year to HIPP Case Manager at the David and Rebecca Barron Center for Men. In this role, she continues to make a meaningful difference in the lives of the clients she serves every day.
Beyond her work at Shelterhouse, Kerry is dedicated to her own personal and professional growth. She is currently attending the University of Cincinnati and is expected to graduate in Fall 2026, balancing the demands of school while maintaining her commitment to our mission.
Kerry also shares her expertise and perspective with the broader community through her participation in the Persons with Lived Experience Work Group within our local Continuum of Care. Her involvement helps ensure that the voices and experiences of those impacted by homelessness are represented in conversations that shape services and policies throughout our community.
Kerry's journey reflects what Shelterhouse is all about—growth, resilience, compassion, and a commitment to helping others. We are grateful for her contributions and proud to have her as part of our team.

🧼 We Need Your Help – Soap Donations Needed! 🧼

At Shelter House, something as simple as a bar of soap can make a huge difference.

We are currently in need of soap donations to help our residents stay clean, healthy, and confident. For many of the men and women we serve, access to basic hygiene items isn’t guaranteed—but with your help, we can change that.

Every donation, big or small, goes directly to someone in need right here in our community.

If you’d like to donate or have questions, please reach out or stop by Shelter House. Together, we can restore dignity—one small act at a time.

💙 Thank you for supporting our mission.

💜 Feed the Need – Women’s Shelter in July 💜

Looking for a meaningful way to give back? Our women’s shelter is home to over 60 women working toward a better future—and a warm meal can make all the difference.

We’re currently looking for individuals, groups, churches, and businesses to help serve meals through our Feed the Need program.

🍽️ You can:
✔️ Bring & Serve a meal
✔️ Drop off food
✔️ Cook & Serve in our kitchen

It costs about $150 to feed the entire women’s shelter, and the impact goes far beyond just food—it shows care, dignity, and support.

🙏 This is a simple way to make a real difference in someone’s life.
