It's hard to root for the Los Angeles Dodgers as Reds fans, but not hard to root for players Alex Call and Tommy Edman. They stopped by campus today as part of Big League Impact outreach to serve lunch to our shelter guests and men and women in our recovery program.

They also visited our gym and talked to them about baseball, their faith, and their families.

Thank you, Alex, Tommy, and Big League Impact, for all you do to spread positivity and encouragement!

Senior year is here, and our Rising Scholars Class of 2027 is preparing for an exciting next chapter! Over the next several months, our seniors will be making important decisions about life after high school (college, trade school, the military, or beginning a career). And we want to make sure they don’t have to navigate those decisions alone. We are looking for volunteer College & Career Writing Coaches! Writing Coaches will walk alongside a Rising Scholars senior as they work on things like:

- College and scholarship essays-
- Resumes and applications
- Personal goals and future plans
- Communicating their story, strengths, and accomplishments
- Encouragement, accountability, and confidence along the way

You do NOT have to be a professional writer! We are looking for caring adults who can listen, encourage, provide feedback, and help a student put their best foot forward. Sometimes one caring adult saying, “I believe in you. Keep going.” can make a tremendous difference in a young person’s journey.💙

Our seniors have dreams. They have potential. They are ready to work. We’re looking for people willing to walk beside them as they finish strong!
