➡ The Cincinnati metro area's population grew by over 20,000 residents in 2024, the largest increase in a decade. Despite the population boom, the region must deal with an aging population that could stall growth. All 15 counties in the metro area have experienced population gains since the 2020 Census. In Ohio, Warren (5.7%) and Butler (2.4%) counties experienced the largest total gains in population, adding more than 13,000 and 9,000 residents, respectively. In Kentucky, Boone County was the fastest-growing county, adding more than 8,000 new residents from 2020 through 2024, or a 6% increase in population to just over 144,000.
