She joking says that "everything I needed to know about real estate I learned in Kindergarten." But that might just be true. She's been working in this business with her father since she was two. She literally learned how to read while driving around the city reading traffic signs and billboards. She purchased her first investment home at the age of 16. She built her first home at 18, and rented o
ut the spare bedrooms to pay the mortgage while earning her degrees in Public Relations and Psychology at the University of Florida. After graduation, she moved back to Cincinnati, OH and began acquiring investment properties at a rapid pace. She has established herself as one of the premier residential investment specialists in her marketplace. The next step in her real estate career was to help other people buy and sell their homes and build their financial nest eggs through real estate. She quickly became a company leader in volume and transactions, as she applied the skills in negotiation she had learned building her own portfolio to fulfilling the needs of her clients. As the market changed, so did many of her clients' needs. The market crash showcased Bonnie's best strengths, problem solving and perseverance. It all started 2007, she was approached by a couple who needed to sell their home. This couple owed more than the home's current market value and had no funds to bring to the closing table. Instead of just walking away and advising them that they were stuck, Bonnie used her relationship with their lender to negotiate a discount payoff for the seller. The lender agreed to the deal because Bonnie clearly demonstrated that the net number they would receive from the sale was more than what they would make in the REO market. Since that closing she has gone on to negotiate hundreds of short sale approvals for homeowners and investors alike. Short sales are long, tiring and messy transactions, but for many years they have been a necessary best answer to a very tough situation. Bonnie is thrilled about the markets slow but steady recovery. She finds it rewarding to see sellers collecting proceeds checks at closing again. "The market crash was devastating to all my clients,and it made my job about 10 times more difficult to achieve results. The good news is that because what does not kill you, only makes you stronger; I, for one, am stoked to go out and use these razor sharp skills to pluck the best deals from our rejuvenated marketplace for my clients. My goal is to make sure that we all have a great time doing it." When Bonnie s not working she is coaching or cooking for her 3 beautiful daughters, Sophia, Eva and Anabelle. Or, she is training for her next OCR (Obstacle Course Race). Bonnie regularly does Crossfit, rock climbing and trail running to stay competitive in her race circuit.
