That small opening in the brick is a weep hole—and it’s actually supposed to be there 👍

What it does:
- Drains water: Brick is not waterproof. Rainwater can get behind it, and the weep hole lets that moisture escape instead of getting trapped.

- Ventilation: It allows airflow behind the brick (called the brick veneer cavity), helping prevent mold, rot, and damage.

- Protects your home: Without it, water could build up and cause serious issues inside your walls.
