The vibrancy of Northside is getting more support and opportunities. Yay!

NEST - Northsiders Engaged in Sustainable Transformation recently received funding from the City Of Cincinnati Government’s NBDIP (Neighborhood Business District Improvement Program) for Northside’s REFRESH Program.

17 locations, including 19 businesses, have been selected to participate in the exterior improvements to enhance our vibrant business district. Improvements may include storefront repairs, façade improvement, signage, awnings and shade structures, exterior hardscapes, and exterior amenities.

This transformative effort is a great tool for neighborhood improvements without the heavy cost burdens for business or property owners. Chroma Architecture has been chosen as the architect for this initiative.

One of the participants is the Visionaries and Voices Northside Studio + Gallery at 3841 Spring Grove Ave.! Established in 2003, V+V is a nonprofit organization that provides creative, professional and educational opportunities to more than 125 visual artists with disabilities.

Artists working at V+V actively contribute to the greater arts community through creative, educational, and strategic partnerships with local and regional artists, schools, and business leaders. Collectively, V+V is growing a more inclusive arts community in Greater Cincinnati.
